The Rennies Indongo Port Terminal at the Port of Walvis Bay reached another construction milestone today with the completion of its roof structure.
To mark the occasion, a traditional roof-wetting ceremony was held, during which a wreath was placed atop the new warehouse. The long-standing construction tradition signifies the completion of the building's highest point and serves as a gesture of appreciation to the builders, contractors and everyone involved in the project.
The ceremony also recognised the progress made to date and expressed wishes for the future success of the terminal, with a focus on safe working conditions, secure operations, efficient cargo handling and the seamless movement of freight through the facility.
Construction of the terminal continues as the project moves closer to completion.
