Lubrication Specialists hosted a corporate padel tournament for its marine industry clients on Saturday. The event brought together 16 teams for a day of friendly competition and networking, organised primarily to show appreciation for client support across the marine sector. Matches were played in an Americano-style round-robin format. With many participants playing padel for the first time, the early rounds focused on casual play and learning the sport. The tempo shifted during the semi-finals and finals as experienced players took over, producing fast-paced and competitive rallies.

Prizes were awarded across several categories, including winners, runners-up, third place, best dressed, and best team spirit. In addition to individual vouchers, the overall tournament winners received a N$5,000 cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice. Speaking at the welcoming, Nazeem Stuart, General Manager of Lubrication Specialists, thanked the participants and outlined plans to make the tournament an annual fixture. "Next year we would like to involve other companies in the marine industry to also contribute to the charity prizes, so that we can plough back more support and funds into our community upliftment initiatives," Stuart said.
