Manica Group Namibia took hands with the CATS organisation and the German developmental agency, GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) /GAN Namibia (Skills for Business jobs for Youth) to give Grade 8-10 girls a first hand introduction to the world of logistics.

The girls were taken on a tour of the various Manica business units and introduced to women working in the industry who provided further insight of the intricacies, processes and workings of the logistics industry. The girls visited Woker Freight Services, Ocean Liner Services, Walvis Bay Stevedoring and Rennies Consolidated where they saw the processes of clearing and forwarding, warehousing, stevedoring and ships' agency in action. The aim of this tour was to spark interest and motivate young females to become part of the logistics industry.
