The Rennies Consolidated team has taken delivery of a brand new Kalmar Reach Stacker.
It officially started started operations at the Rennies depot in Walvis Bay, last week. With WFS handling all the customs clearing work smoothly, the reach stacker was shipped from Shanghai, China in four separate containers. A special team of technicians assembled the machine and provided guidance and training on its features and maintenance.
The Kalmar DRU450 Reach Stacker is classed as a highly reliable, robust and efficient machine with a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes. This red beauty comes with an array of advanced load sensing hydraulics and latest generation engines and transmissions to ensure a more efficient and powerful machine, that uses less fuel, produces less emissions, and is cost effective whilst maintaining productivity.
It has various safety features, including enhanced visibility from the cabin, overload protection system that will warn the driver if the load exceeds the specified limits, improved steering axle with extra wide tracking for increased stability, a fail-safe seat switch that will not allow the machine to be started without the operator in the seat, to mention a few.
The Rennies team are ready to raise their efficiency levels to another level with their new machine!
