Manica Group Namibia welcomed the next round of CATS students that will learn all the ins and outs of the logistic industry over the next two years.
The eight new CATS students will be placed in various divisions of the group on a rotational basis to ensure that they are exposed to all aspects of logistics including warehousing, clearing and forwarding, stevedoring, ships agency and transport to name a few.
Manica is one of various companies who take in CATS students to provide them with practical hands-on job training in different fields ranging from logistics to business administration. Others companies who support the CATS programme include Namport, Pupkewitz, Cymot, MPact, Transworld Cargo, Ohorongo Cement, O&L and Gondwana to name a few.
CATS Diploma students also receive theoretical training at NUST comprising courses such as business accounting, supply chain management and commercial law. After completion of this programme the graduates will receive an Industrial Management Assistant Certificate and a NQA level 6 Diploma from NUST.
Manica is proudly to be affiliated with the CATS programme since 2005 and has had over 50 student intakes, many of whom reached stellar academic achievements.
