MOL Auto-carriers monthly Roro called on Walvis Bay recently. The MV Victorious Ace discharged some 30 trucks and 3 trailers. Although the operations ran smoothly we had a slight issue with some trucks that could not be jump-started. It is a rule that trucks may not be towed out of a Roro, they must be driven out. So the OLS team had to obtain special permission to tow out the trucks carefully. Walvis Bay Stevedoring took care of most of the discharging.

The Victorious Ace is classed as a Vehicles Carrier and was built in 2011. She sails under the flag of Panama. This vessel has a carrying capacity is of 18396 DWT and her current draught is reported to be 8.9 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 199.95 meters and her width is 32.2 meters.
