Another record volume of truck imports

Posted: 10 Jun 2024Category: Operations

One of Africa's leading transport companies, BHL Group, recently imported another record 200 new truck horses to further expand its transport operations across southern Africa.

The 200 Sinotruk Howo tractor trucks were imported through the Walvis Bay port from China onboard the vessel, Tong Ji Men, and are known for their heavy-duty capabilities and versatility in long-haul transportation, construction and mining.

BHL Group is active in eight countries within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and offers a comprehensive range of transportation services, including bulk haulage, abnormal load transportation, project logistics, and warehousing.

Woker Freight Services (WFS) managed the customs clearance and related import and transit formalities for this large consignment, while Walvis Bay Stevedoring (WBS) handled the offloading of the trucks and additional trailers from the vessel.

The trucks are destined for BHL's Zambia office, further expanding its already extensive fleet and wide footprint across Africa.
