Africa Lilly offloads Wheat

Ocean Liner Services attended to the bulk vessel, MV African Lily. The vessel offloaded 6,600mt of bulk wheat. This was another team effort, Walvis Bay Stevedoring took care of the discharge operations. The WBS team was able to reach a discharge rate of 2,500mt per 24-hour shift, drastically reducing the vessels layover time to less than 3 days.

OLS handled the various port agency duties and liaised with the port authorities to ensure the vessel was able to berth on arrival. The OLS team also arranged a crew change for the vessel, including the required transit visas, transfer of the crew, supply of fresh water analysis and sludge disposal during the vessel's stay in port.

The vessel has called on the Port of Walvis Bay and appointed OLS as ships agents an number of times in the past, demonstrating the level of trust the owner's and charterers have in the OLS team to take care of the crew, the vessel and their interest at all times.
