"Relationships are what makes our industry different from others." This was the sentiment echoed by Philip Coetzee, Logistics Executive of Manica Group Namibia at the recent Customer Appreciation function held by Woker Freight Services.
Every year WFS hosts customer functions at the coast and in Windhoek as a way to say thank you for the support their customers and suppliers have shown troughtout the year. At last nights function, held in Swakopmund, Coetzee further noted that although many of the roleplayers in the logistics industry compete with each other, they often have to work together as well.
"If things go wrong, we fix it together, find a solution and we move on. That distinguishes us from other logistics industries in southern Africa. The relationships we have with another. That we can compete, yet work toegther and help each other," he added.
Various clients and suppliers from different sectors attended the two events, including oil and gas, transport, shipping, logistics, mining, governmental, regulatory, parastatals and some clients even travelled as far as Cape Town and Richards Bay to attend the event.
