Woker Freight Services recently handled the importation of approximately 7,500 metric tonnes of fertiliser shipped from China. The 1 tonne bags of fertiliser were shipped onboard the bulk carrier, Princess Boa, and is is destined for the agricultural sector in Zambia.
This is the first breakbulk consignment of fertilizer for WFS through a joint solution together with transport company BHL and Jiayou International Logistics.
It was also a team effort within the Manica Group, as Woker Freight Services handled the in-transit customs clearance while Walvis Bay Stevedoring took care of the offloading process and Rennies Transport carted the bags to dedicated storage at Rennies Consol.
