In recent months Rennies has seen an increase of cargo being transported to and from its warehouse and storage facilities by rail. Although the rail siding at the container depot was still used intermittency for container loads, the MLC warehouse siding had not seen much traffic in the past few years. With the repair work to the platform and the roofing this situation had changed. The use of rail for transport depends largely on the wishes of the client, and with the latest project the Rennies team were proud to use their siding for a shipment of Pearl Millet (Mahangu). The millet was imported from India and is destined for a Namibian client.
